Telecommunications companies kick against Order by FG to reduce data cost within five days, says "It is Insensitive "


Telecommunications operatives in Nigeria have described the directive issues by the federal government for the reduction of data cost as "insensitive as well as being "unrealistic ".



Minister of communications and digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali pantami issued the directive during a courtesy visit by the management NCC led by its board chairman, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, to his office on the 5th of November.


Reacting to the directive, the chairman of the association of licensed telecommunications operators of Nigeria, (ALTON), said the federal government's directive could potentially scare away investors from the country, he also pointed out that the directive was dictatorial.
